Step 1: Contact Eduflow Support
Our support and development team can help you set up the LTI integration between Brightspace and Eduflow. The team will provide you with the following information:
Entry point URL: https://app.eduflow.com/integrations/lti/entry
Consumer Key: will be provided by Eduflow
Consumer Secret: will be provided by Eduflow
Step 2: Create Tool Provider
Once you got this information, the first step is to go to External Learning Tools in the Administration panel, then go to the Manage Tool Providers, and then New Tool Provider.
For the Launch Point you should choose https://app.eduflow.com/ and the Consumer Secret, that you got from our support team.
For Tool consumer information you should tick the box "Use custom tool consumer information instead of default" and set the Consumer Key, that you got from our support team.
If the Name, Description, and Contact Email are already filled, leave them as is. Otherwise, set Name to the name of your school or university. Leave Description empty and set Contact Email to your email or the email of your IT administrator.
As you can see in the screenshot below Visibility should be set to "Allow users to use this tool provider".
For Security Settings you should tick the boxes shown in the screenshot below in order for Eduflow to get the information it needs to provide the it's service:
Here we recommend making the Tool Provider available to 'Course Offerings' in your 'Org Unit':
Click on 'Add Org Units', check of all units in the list, and click 'Insert.
NOTE: The Tool Provider should at least be set to be available to the same Org Units and Course Offering as the link created in Step 3.
Click 'Save' and close.
Step 3: Create External Learning Tool Link
After completing Step 2 – still being on the External Learning Tools page – you should go to the other tab on the page, which is called Manage External Learning Tools Links and create a new link (the New Link-button).
Set the Title to be 'Edufow' and URL to https://app.eduflow.com/integrations/lti/entry
For the Description you can write 'Eduflow provides a peer review solution to instructors and learners'. Enable 'Allow users to view this link'.
The Key/Secret should be 'Tool consumer key/secret':
And Security settings should be 'Use tool provider security settings':
You do not need to add any Custom Parameters.
To make Eduflow available to instructors immediately be sure to set Eduflow as available to 'Course Offering in your Org Unit':
NOTE: The Tool Provider should be set to be available to the same Org Units and Course Offering as the link – otherwise the link will not work!
Click 'Save and Close'.
Step 4: Add Eduflow to the course navbar
Find the 'Manage All Course Navbars' link by hovering the right side of your current navbar and clicking the button with the three dots that appears, and then click the 'Manage All Course Navbars' link in the dropdown.
You should now choose which navbar should have the Eduflow link. We recommend finding the default course navbar in the list and clicking that. You can also copy an existing navbar or create a new one. If you do that, instructors who want to use Eduflow will have switch to the new navbar you've created.
Once you've entered the Edit Navbar page, click the 'Add Links' button as shown in the screenshot below
In the modal that pops up, click 'Create Custom Link':
In the modal that pops up, enter Eduflow in the Name-field, and then click the 'Insert Quicklink' button.
In the modal that pops up, click the 'External Learning Tools' item:
In the list of External Learning Tools you should find and click Eduflow.
You should now be back in the 'Create Custom Link'-modal.
Under Behavior you can choose whether the link in the navbar should open Eduflow in a new window or inside the Brightspace UI. For best compatibility with the Internet Explorer and Safari browsers you should choose 'New window/tab'.
You do not need to enter anything in Description, nor do you need to choose an Icon.
Lastly, Availability (Limit to specific roles) should be kept unchecked such that both instructors and learners have access to Eduflow.
Then click the Create-button at the bottom of the modal.
You're now back in the Add Links-modal. Leave the Eduflow item checked and click Add.
Lastly, Save and close the navbar.
If you've edited the default course navbar all instructors will now have Eduflow available in their course navbar. If you created or copied an existing navbar, the instructors who would like to use Eduflow should switch to that navbar.
The first time you or a different instructor in the course clicks Eduflow in the navbar, you'll be asked to Connect to Eduflow by clicking a button. Once this is done you can access Eduflow through the navbar link.
The link in the navbar is always visible to the learners in the course – however – learners will not have access to Eduflow through Brightspace until you've clicked the Connect to Eduflow button.
The Eduflow interface and functionality you and your learners have access to is exactly the same as the "normal" Eduflow, except that it's locked to a single course that matches the Brightspace course you're in.
