Setup Checklist for Grade Passback on Blackboard

Configuring and troubleshooting grade posting (a.k.a. mark posting) can be done via the Blackboard administration panel

You can use Eduflow's Grade Passback with Blackboard to post your learner's course outcome. IT administrators can use this guide to configure your institution's Blackboard to support posting grades from Eduflow.

  1. System: Allow posting grades / marks

    1. System admin

    2. LTI Tool Providers (Under Integrations)

    3. Manage Global Properties

    4. Yes to "Allow configured tool providers to post grades"

  2. System: Add LTI Tool Provider

    1. System admin

    2. LTI Tool Providers (Under Integrations)

    3. Register LTI 1.1 Provider

    4. Provider domain: app.eduflow.com

    5. Assure "User Fields to Send" include: "Role in Course", "Name", "Email Address"

  3. System: Add placement for Eduflow tool

    1. System admin

    2. LTI Tool Providers (Under Integrations)

    3. Mouseover eduflow and click the downward arrow

    4. Manage placements

    5. Create placement

    6. Name it Eduflow

    7. Important: If you are using Grade passback, select "Course content tool" and check "Allows grading"

    8. Save

  4. System: Enable LTI in tools

    1. System admin

    2. Tools (Under Tools and Utilities)

    3. Scroll to LTI and enable in courses (and organizations if you wish)

    4. Choose whether to apply settings to existing courses

    5. Submit

  5. System: Ensure Eduflow turned on in Tools

    1. System admin

    2. Tools (Under Tools and Utilities)

    3. Scroll to Eduflow and enable in courses (and organizations if you wish)

    4. Submit

  6. Course: Add Eduflow to content placement

    1. Click "Content" on the left sidebar

    2. Add Eduflow placement

    3. On the next page, name the content "Eduflow"

    4. Important: Scroll down to "Grading" and enable

    5. Eduflow will now be available in content

  7. Course: Assure LTI and Eduflow enabled

    1. Open blackboard course as instructor / admin

    2. Scroll to Customization โ†’ Tool Availability

    3. Assure Eduflow and LTI are both checked

  8. Course: As teacher, enter Eduflow and configure your course with Grade Passback

  9. Course: Have a student enter (or create a demo student account to enter and participate)

  10. Course: View table

    1. Go to Grade Center โ†’ Full Grade Center on the left sidebar

    2. Results will show up in the Eduflow column as students proceed through the course
