Content delivery is one of the most important aspects of building an engaging learning experience. Content requires structure, aesthetics and support for several different media types to convey learning material effectively. Our rich-text editor does all of this and more.

We now support file uploads directly in the rich text editor. This feature is currently available in activity descriptions and discussion activities.

Image controls

image editing

There are various different options for formatting your images. You can align images, adjust their size, add captions and alt text for learners using a screen reader.

Tables

Tables editor

You can create and style tables with the rich-text editor. Open the toolbar by clicking the '+' button, click the tables button and select the number of rows and columns you want. Don't worry if you don't get it right, you can always edit your table after it's been added.

Media embeds

embeds

We now support a wide range of providers to be embedded into your content. For video providers like YouTube and Vimeo, simply paste in the URL and it will automatically embed the video.

Math

You can insert and edit math equations in the TeX format. The equations are rendered using KaTeX. Eduflow supports many TeX equations via KaTeX. Equations requiring custom KaTeX fonts are currently not supported.

Code block

You can insert code blocks and define the language of the code blocks individually. Eduflow supports code highlighting in the chosen language, but code highlights are only visible for learners.

Keyboard shortcuts

If you're a power user and know your way around markdown, you can use keyboard shortcuts to quickly format your text.

Rich-text editors

The rich-text editor is available in the following places:

  • Activity content description

  • Rich-text submissions

  • Discussion topics and comments

  • Public course page description
